Everwell (Wellness App):

Achieve your future health goals with personalized weekly habits.

As part of IronHack’s bootcamp, we developed a wellness app for the Daily Health Conference (a fictitious client). The brief challenged us to create a disruptive wellness tool to boost membership by integrating tech solutions for health services like diet plans, fitness programs, and water tracking.

Solution: Everwell is a wellness app that helps users set long-term health goals and provides weekly habits to stay on track.

Research

To address a real problem, we began with secondary research, identifying a growing interest in health among millennials. Using insights from sources like McKinsey, we framed our focus around healthy aging. This led to crafting a Lean UX Canvas to explore ideas and develop hypotheses for further validation through a survey.

Key Findings:

Quantitative Research - survey results

Qualitative Research

Our interviews aligned with our secondary research, revealing challenges in setting and maintaining long-term health goals. These insights guided the development of our problem statement and persona.

Problem Statement

Millennials who are concerned about their long-term health need to find a way to take steps to improve their long term trajectory because maintaining a healthy lifestyle in the long run is challenging for them.

Persona

Paco is a 32-year-old software developer in Madrid. His sedentary lifestyle led to recurring pain, and despite trying home remedies, job stress held him back. After a health warning from his doctor, he realized he needed to make lasting changes but struggled without clear goals. He needs a tool to stay motivated and consistent in building healthy habits.

Design Process

We started with sketches, outlining key features like a bottom navigation bar, quick access to set new goals, and a homepage showing current goals.

Next, we created a mid-fidelity prototype, testing with users to refine and iterate based on feedback.

Testing revealed to us areas for improvement that were tackled before we finalise the final stage of the project that consisted in refining our Style Tile and consequently, the Hi-Fi prototype.

Design Solution

Everwell is a wellness app that helps users achieve long-term health goals, like hiking Mount Fuji at 65. By setting their goal, inputting health metrics, and providing weekly availability, users receive tailored habits to complete each week. The app tracks progress and adapts suggestions to keep them on track.

On the home page, users see an overview of their existing goals and suggested habits. The nav bar provides direct access to goals, a CTA to add a new goal, a habits repository, and the profile page.

The goals overview page shows key details:

  • Goal name and target age

  • Weekly commitment percentage

  • Weekly routine breakdown

To create a new goal, users choose from four activities they’d like to achieve in the future. They then set the target age and input how much time they can commit weekly. The app suggests activities based on their input.
